Our History
The idea behind Y'abal was born from a deep understanding of the challenges faced by disadvantaged communities. Our three founding members came together with a shared vision: to create an organization that could bridge the gap between those in need and the resources available to help them.
Since our founding in 2016, we have been working to develop programs and initiatives that address the root causes of social and economic inequality. Our approach is community-centered, ensuring that the voices of those we serve are at the heart of everything we do.
Our Statutory Purpose
"De vereniging heeft tot doel de sociaal, economische vooruitgang van minderbedeelde groepen te bevorderen."
"The association has the purpose of promoting the social and economic advancement of disadvantaged groups."
— Article 3 of the Y'abal Statutes, registered November 9, 2016
What Makes Us Different
At Y'abal, we take a holistic approach to social development. We understand that disadvantage is multifaceted and that sustainable change requires addressing multiple dimensions simultaneously. Our programs integrate education, economic empowerment, and community support to create comprehensive pathways out of poverty.
We also believe in the power of collaboration. We actively seek partnerships with local government, businesses, other non-profit organizations, and international bodies to maximize our impact and reach.
